ABOUT THE RITUAL

This ritual is culled from yajur and atharvana veda. The main invocation of the ritual is lord sun, lord varuna and goddess lakshmi.

As the uttarayana starts the rays of sun gets bright and bold. In this ritual we pray to lord sun to give us a bright and bold year ahead and success on all ventures. Lord varuna is also known as god of water, we invoke him to purify our thoughts and soul and to protect us from diseases and distractions.This is the first ritual of 2023 in SHAMBAVI PEETAM.
